On June 14, 2024, the Fire Prevention and Fighting University, in collaboration with DPKT Technical Development Service Trading Co., Ltd., organized a scientific seminar on "Explosion-proof Electrical Equipment in Industrial and National Energy Projects."
The seminar was chaired by Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Ph.D. Lê Quang Bốn, the university's President, with the presence and guidance of Major General, Associate Professor, Ph.D. Phạm Văn Long, Vice President; Colonel, Associate Professor, Ph.D. Lê Quang Hải, Vice President; Colonel Phạm Văn Hiệu, Deputy Director of the Department of Security Industry; and representatives of the leadership of the Fire Prevention, Fighting & Rescue Police Department from local police units. The event also saw the participation of scientists, representatives from various agencies, businesses, and the leadership of various departments within the university.
Speaking at the seminar, Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Ph.D. Lê Quang Bốn, the President of the Fire Prevention and Fighting University, emphasized that as the situation of fires and explosions becomes more complex, the research, training, and sharing of knowledge on explosion prevention have become extremely essential. Fires and explosions in industrial and energy environments not only cause loss of life and property but also severely impact the environment and the sustainable development of the country. Therefore, having a proper and comprehensive understanding of the value, significance, and importance of "Explosion-proof Electrical Equipment in Industrial and National Energy Projects" will contribute significantly to stability and sustainable development.
He expressed confidence that through such scientific activities, there would be meaningful contributions and practical solutions provided, benefiting the educational and training efforts of the Fire Prevention and Fighting University as well as the current development of the electrical industry.

Lieutenant Colonel, Ph.D. Nguyễn Đức Việt, Head of the Fire Prevention Department, presented the keynote address at the seminar.
Mr. Nguyễn Minh Tuấn, MSc, from Thăng Long One Member Limited Liability Company under the Ministry of Public Security, delivered a presentation at the seminar.
Ms. Nguyễn Vũ Quỳnh Nguyên from DPKT Technical Development Service Trading Co., Ltd. delivered a presentation at the seminar.
Lieutenant Colonel, Ph.D. Phạm Huy Quang, a lecturer from the Fire Prevention Department, delivered a presentation at the seminar.
Lieutenant Colonel, Ph.D. Lương Anh Tuấn, a lecturer from the Fire Prevention Department, presented at the seminar.
The seminar on "Explosion-proof Electrical Equipment in Industrial and National Energy Projects" introduced advanced solutions for fire and explosion prevention currently implemented in Vietnam and other advanced countries around the world. It highlighted that some legal regulations on explosion safety have not kept pace with the country's socio-economic development. Key discussions included:- The zoning of fire and explosion hazard areas and the classification of regions for placing equipment in construction design.
- The high applicability of proposed solutions that comply with legal regulations, standards, and technical norms.
- Practical applications of explosion-proof electrical equipment in various projects across Vietnam.
DPKT Technical Development Service Trading Co., Ltd. donated a model of explosion-proof electrical equipment to the university to support teaching activities.
After a period of intensive and serious discussions, the seminar concluded successfully.
